They just arrived yesterday. They're jars. I assume they will function exactly like pots! I love the handles. They are much more stable than those "fold-out" handles on some other designs. The anodizing is very smooth, again unlike my previous set which was rough and always felt "dusty". These are smooth and clean. Me likes better! We are a family of four and these will probably replace a much larger in volume set that we had previously used when car-camping and will definitely be useful as the 15 ad 17 year old abandon us. I do a lot of solo bicycle camping. The frying pan and the large pot will not come with me. They are just too big. Which is a shame. I really like the wavy bottom - more surface area for heating and cooking! But I will carry a more "kitchen normal" but also very light and slightly smaller aluminum frying pan that facilitates flipping pancakes. Even the kettle is larger than I need but it nests nicely and the really large base means a greater heating surface for my gasifier wood stove or that I can use a little higher flame with the isobutane for faster boiling. Almost forgot: The "bag" is a nice weight, too. Bottom line, nice jars! Quality looks really good. Looking forward to many meals in them! Peace! (Watch for cyclists! Give us a lane, PLEASE!!!)
Decided to spend a little more in the hope that 'you get what you pay for' and it turned out to be true in this case. The design means that the heat retains longer under the kettle and pot and as such speeds up the boiling and cooking process. Everything packs away cleverly and takes up very little space amongst all other camping gear. Would highly recommend.
